The diverse menu offers something for everyone, from hearty mains like BBQ baby back ribs to lighter options like the crispy chicken Caesar salad. Some diners note that during busy hours, especially weekends, service can slow down a bit. The overwhelming popularity sometimes results in longer waits for food and drink, which can be frustrating. There are mentions of limited indoor seating when the weather prompts guests to remain inside, leading some to feel a bit cramped at peak times.
While many love the pub's atmosphere, a few have found it too casual for special occasions. Those looking for a fine-dining ambiance might be disappointed, as the inn focuses more on a cozy, laid-back experience. A small selection of vegetarian and vegan options has also drawn critique, suggesting there’s room for improvement in catering to diverse dietary needs in the future. Nonetheless, these concerns do not overshadow the overall positive dining experience.
Breakfast is superb and consistently good on the couple of days we stayed nearby. The evening meal was equally good. We will definitely return as is dog friendly with plenty of seating space both in and out doors .......And as promised we have returned July 2025 and it's still a fantastic place. Breakfast still superb... Cannot fault the place.
We went for breakfast. Sat outside facing the green. The staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Food was cooked freshly and really well. I couldn't fault our visit.
